Stat. tit. 12, § 12-3251","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this act:\n\n1. \"Foreign jurisdiction\" means a state other than this state;\n\n2. \"Foreign subpoena\" means a subpoena issued under authority\n\nof a court of record of a foreign jurisdiction;\n\n3. \"Person\" means an individual, corporation, business trust,\n\nestate, trust, partnership, limited liability company, association,\n\njoint venture, public corporation, government, or governmental\n\nsubdivision, agency or instrumentality, or any other legal or\n\ncommercial entity;\n\n4. \"State\" means a state of the United States, the District of\n\nColumbia, Puerto Rico, the United States Virgin Islands, a federally\n\nrecognized Indian tribe or any territory or insular possession\n\nsubject to the jurisdiction of the United States; and\n\n5. \"Subpoena\" means a document, however denominated, issued\n\nunder authority of a court of record requiring a person to:\n\na. attend and give testimony at a deposition,\n\nb. produce and permit inspection and copying of\n\ndesignated books, documents, records, electronically\n\nstored information or tangible things in the\n\npossession, custody or control of the person, or\n\nc. permit inspection of premises under the control of the\n\nperson.","path":["OK Code","Title 12"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"c0611db6ef5ae7dc9b82af4b3bc8c99f3163ff880c971fa931a3949091b6304f","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12-12-3250","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12-12-3252"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
