Stat. tit. 12, § 12-3315","heading":"Coercive or violent relationship","body":"COERCIVE OR VIOLENT RELATIONSHIP.\n\nA. Before a prospective party signs a collaborative law\n\nparticipation agreement, a prospective collaborative lawyer shall\n\nmake reasonable inquiry whether the prospective party has a history\n\nof a coercive or violent relationship with another prospective\n\nparty.\n\nB. Throughout a collaborative law process, a collaborative\n\nlawyer reasonably and continuously shall assess whether the party\n\nthe collaborative lawyer represents has a history of a coercive or\n\nviolent relationship with another party.\n\nC. If a collaborative lawyer reasonably believes that the party\n\nthe lawyer represents or the prospective party who consults the\n\nlawyer has a history of a coercive or violent relationship with\n\nanother party or prospective party, the lawyer may not begin or\n\ncontinue a collaborative law process unless:\n\n1. The party or the prospective party requests beginning or\n\ncontinuing a process; and\n\n2.
