Stat. tit. 12, § 12-577.2","heading":"Use of instructions - Requests - Copies","body":"Whenever Oklahoma Uniform Jury Instructions (OUJI) contains an\n\ninstruction applicable in a civil case or a criminal case, giving\n\ndue consideration to the facts and the prevailing law, and the court\n\ndetermines that the jury should be instructed on the subject, the\n\nOUJI instructions shall be used unless the court determines that it\n\ndoes not accurately state the law. Whenever OUJI does not contain\n\nan instruction on a subject on which the court determines that the\n\njury should be instructed, the instruction given on that subject\n\nshould be simple, brief, impartial and free from argument. Counsel\n\nfor either party or parties shall have a right to request\n\ninstructions by so requesting in writing.\n\nEach instruction shall be accompanied by a copy, and a copy\n\nshall be delivered to opposing counsel.
