Stat. tit. 12, § 12-580","heading":"Jury may decide in court or retire - Keeping together -","body":"Communications to jury or concerning deliberations.\n\nWhen the case is finally submitted to the jury, they may decide\n\nin court or retire for deliberation. If they retire, they must be\n\nkept together, in some convenient place, under charge of an officer,\n\nuntil they agree upon a verdict or be discharged by the court,\n\nsubject to the discretion of the court, to permit them to separate\n\ntemporarily at night, and at their meals.
