Stat. tit. 12, § 12-61","heading":"Justification of surety","body":"A ministerial officer whose duty it is to take security in any\n\nundertaking provided for by this Code or by other statutes shall\n\nrequire the person offered as surety to make an affidavit of his\n\nqualifications, which affidavit may be made before such officer, and\n\nshall be endorsed upon or attached to the undertaking.
