Stat. tit. 12, § 12-722","heading":"Notice of filing","body":"(a) At the time of the filing of the foreign judgment, the\n\njudgment creditor or his lawyer shall make and file with the clerk\n\nof the court an affidavit setting forth the name and last-known\n\npost-office address of the judgment debtor, and of the judgment\n\ncreditor.\n\n(b) Promptly upon the filing of the foreign judgment and the\n\naffidavit, the clerk shall mail notice of the filing of the foreign\n\njudgment to the judgment debtor at the address given and shall make\n\na note of the mailing in the docket. The notice shall include the\n\nname and post-office address of the judgment creditor and the\n\njudgment creditor's lawyer, if any, in this state. In addition, the\n\njudgment creditor may mail a notice of the filing of the judgment to\n\nthe judgment debtor and may file proof of mailing with the clerk.\n\nLack of notice of filing by the clerk shall not affect the\n\nenforcement proceedings if proof of mailing by the judgment creditor\n\nhas been filed.\n\n(c) No execution or other process for enforcement of a foreign\n\njudgment filed hereunder shall issue until twenty (20) days after\n\nthe date the judgment is filed.","path":["OK Code","Title 12"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"b49816db279c4a7067b26f3d01c53d2dfd3dc5b5ff4c539fbc8c188ec8ed41d3","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12-12-721","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12-12-723"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
