Computations under this section are for the limited purposes\n\nof the section and do not affect computation of the United States\n\ndollar equivalent of the money of the judgment for the purpose of\n\npayment.\n\nB. For the limited purpose of facilitating the enforcement of\n\nprovisional remedies in an action, the value in United States\n\ndollars of assets to be seized or restrained pursuant to a writ of\n\nattachment, garnishment, execution or other legal process, the\n\namount of United States dollars at issue for assessing costs, or the\n\namount of United States dollars involved for a surety bond or other\n\ncourt-required undertaking, must be ascertained as provided in\n\nsubsections C and D of this section.\n\nC. A party seeking the process, costs, bond or other\n\nundertaking under subsection B of this section shall compute in\n\nUnited States dollars the amount of the foreign money claimed from a\n\nbank-offered spot rate prevailing at or near the close of business\n\non the banking day next preceding the filing of a request or\n\napplication for the issuance of process or for the determination of\n\ncosts, or an application for a bond or other court-required\n\nundertaking.\n\nD. A party seeking the process, costs, bond or other\n\nundertaking under subsection B of this section shall file with each\n\nrequest or application an affidavit or certificate executed in good\n\nfaith by its counsel or a bank officer, stating the market quotation\n\nused and how it was obtained, and setting forth the calculation.\n\nAffected court officials incur no liability, after a filing of the\n\naffidavit or certificate, for acting as if the judgment were in the\n\namount of United States dollars stated in the affidavit or\n\ncertificate.","path":["OK Code","Title 12"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"42dd2552206c9a1052c815eba91baab8eac9109045e6b84fc0bbcbd2d211aefc","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12-12-729.11","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12-12-729.13"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
