Except as provided in subsection C of this section, a\n\njudgment or award on a foreign-money claim must be stated in an\n\namount of the money of the claim.\n\nB. A judgment or award on a foreign-money claim is payable in\n\nthat foreign money or, at the option of the debtor, in the amount of\n\nUnited States dollars which will purchase that foreign money on the\n\nconversion date at a bank-offered spot rate.\n\nC. Assessed costs must be entered in United States dollars.\n\nD. Each payment in United States dollars must be accepted and\n\ncredited on a judgment or award on a foreign-money claim in the\n\namount of the foreign money that could be purchased by the dollars\n\nat a bank-offered spot rate of exchange at or near the close of\n\nbusiness on the conversion date for that payment.\n\nE. A judgment or award made in an action or distribution\n\nproceeding on both:\n\n1. A defense, set-off, recoupment or counterclaim; and\n\n2. The adverse party's claim,\n\nmust be netted by converting the money of the smaller into the money\n\nof the larger, and by subtracting the smaller from the larger, and\n\nspecify the rates of exchange used.\n\nF. A judgment substantially in the following form complies with\n\nsubsection A of this section:\n\nIT IS ADJUDGED AND ORDERED, that Defendant (insert name) pay to\n\nPlaintiff (insert name) the sum of (insert amount in the foreign\n\nmoney) plus interest on that sum at the rate of (insert rate - see\n\nSection 10 of this act) percent a year or, at the option of the\n\njudgment debtor, the number of United States dollars which will\n\npurchase the (insert name of foreign money) with interest due, at a\n\nbank-offered spot rate at or near the close of business on the\n\nbanking day next before the day of payment, together with assessed\n\ncosts of (insert amount) United States dollars.\n\nG. If a contract claim is of the type covered by subsection A\n\nor B of Section 6 of this act, the judgment or award must be entered\n\nfor the amount of money stated to measure the obligation to be paid\n\nin the money specified for payment or, at the option of the debtor,\n\nthe number of United States dollars which will purchase the computed\n\namount of the money of payment on the conversion date at a bank-\n\noffered spot rate.\n\nH. In order to create a lien, a judgment in foreign money must\n\nbe filed and indexed in the same manner as other judgments.
