Stat. tit. 12, § 12-76","heading":"Action on official bond","body":"When an officer, executor or administrator within this state, by\n\nmisconduct or neglect of duty, forfeits his bond or renders his\n\nsureties liable, any person injured thereby, or who is, by law,\n\nentitled to the benefit of the security, may bring an action thereon\n\nin his own name, against the officer, executor or administrator and\n\nhis sureties, to recover the amount to which he may be entitled by\n\nreason of the delinquency.
