Stat. tit. 12, § 12-952","heading":"Jurisdiction of Supreme Court","body":"(a) The Supreme Court may reverse, vacate or modify judgments of\n\nthe district court for errors appearing on the record, and in the\n\nreversal of such judgment may reverse, vacate or modify any\n\nintermediate order involving the merits of the action, or any\n\nportion thereof.\n\n(b) The Supreme Court may reverse, vacate or modify any of the\n\nfollowing orders of the district court, or a judge thereof:\n\n1. A final order;\n\n2. An order that discharges, vacates or modifies or refuses to\n\nvacate or modify a provisional remedy which affects the substantial\n\nrights of a party; or grants, refuses, vacates, modifies or refuses\n\nto vacate or modify an injunction; grants or refuses a new trial; or\n\nvacates or refuses to vacate a final judgment;\n\n3. Any other order, which affects a substantial part of the\n\nmerits of the controversy when the trial judge certifies that an\n\nimmediate appeal may materially advance the ultimate termination of\n\nthe litigation; provided, however, that the Supreme Court, in its\n\ndiscretion, may refuse to hear the appeal. If the Supreme Court\n\nassumes jurisdiction of the appeal, it shall indicate in its order\n\nwhether the action in the trial court shall be stayed or shall\n\ncontinue.\n\nThe failure of a party to appeal from an order that is\n\nappealable under either subdivision 2 or 3 of subsection (b) of this\n\nsection shall not preclude him from asserting error in the order\n\nafter the judgment or final order is rendered.\n\nR.L. 1910, § 5236.
