Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-1-9-104","heading":"Control of deposit account","body":"CONTROL OF DEPOSIT ACCOUNT\n\n(a) A secured party has control of a deposit account if:\n\n(1) the secured party is the bank with which the deposit\n\naccount is maintained;\n\n(2) the debtor, secured party, and bank have agreed in a\n\nsigned record that the bank will comply with\n\ninstructions originated by the secured party directing\n\ndisposition of the funds in the deposit account\n\nwithout further consent by the debtor;\n\n(3) the secured party becomes the bank's customer with\n\nrespect to the deposit account; or\n\n(4) another person, other than the debtor:\n\n(A) has control of the deposit account and\n\nacknowledges that it has control on behalf of the\n\nsecured party; or\n\n(B) obtains control of the deposit account after\n\nhaving acknowledged that it will obtain control\n\nof the deposit account on behalf of the secured\n\nparty.\n\n(b) A secured party that has satisfied subsection (a) of this\n\nsection has control, even if the debtor retains the right to direct\n\nthe disposition of funds from the deposit account.","path":["OK Code","Title 12A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"89eb708df0d5c81002eb929c0d15e477e7ee2fc77cca38c3e848e2f3b2e6db10","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-103","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-105"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
