Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-1-9-108","heading":"Sufficiency of description","body":"SUFFICIENCY OF DESCRIPTION\n\n(a) Except as otherwise provided in subsections (c), (d), and\n\n(e) of this section, a description of personal or real property is\n\nsufficient, whether or not it is specific, if it reasonably\n\nidentifies what is described.\n\n(b) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (d) of this\n\nsection, a description of collateral reasonably identifies the\n\ncollateral if it identifies the collateral by:\n\n(1) specific listing;\n\n(2) category;\n\n(3) except as otherwise provided in subsection (e) of this\n\nsection, a type of collateral defined in this title;\n\n(4) quantity;\n\n(5) computational or allocational formula or procedure; or\n\n(6) except as otherwise provided in subsection (c) of this\n\nsection, any other method, if the identity of the collateral is\n\nobjectively determinable.\n\n(c) A description of collateral as “all the debtor’s assets” or\n\n“all the debtor’s personal property” or using words of similar\n\nimport does not reasonably identify the collateral.\n\n(d) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (e) of this\n\nsection, a description of a security entitlement, securities\n\naccount, or commodity account is sufficient if it describes:\n\n(1) the collateral by those terms or as investment property; or\n\n(2) the underlying financial asset or commodity contract.\n\n(e) A description only by type of collateral defined in this\n\ntitle is an insufficient description of:\n\n(1) a commercial tort claim; or\n\n(2) in a consumer transaction, consumer goods, a security\n\nentitlement, a securities account, or a commodity account.","path":["OK Code","Title 12A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"f27611efa04c438a1381922d07fccfe4618fd50a740771f950b775d8d6470d64","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-107b","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-109"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
