Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-1-9-206","heading":"Security interest arising in purchase or delivery of","body":"financial asset.\n\nSECURITY INTEREST ARISING IN PURCHASE\n\nOR DELIVERY OF FINANCIAL ASSET\n\n(a) A security interest in favor of a securities intermediary\n\nattaches to a person’s security entitlement if:\n\n(1) the person buys a financial asset through the securities\n\nintermediary in a transaction in which the person is obligated to\n\npay the purchase price to the securities intermediary at the time of\n\nthe purchase; and\n\n(2) the securities intermediary credits the financial asset to\n\nthe buyer’s securities account before the buyer pays the securities\n\nintermediary.\n\n(b) The security interest described in subsection (a) of this\n\nsection secures the person’s obligation to pay for the financial\n\nasset.\n\n(c) A security interest in favor of a person that delivers a\n\ncertificated security or other financial asset represented by a\n\nwriting attaches to the security or other financial asset if:\n\n(1) the security or other financial asset:\n\n(A) in the ordinary course of business is transferred by\n\ndelivery with any necessary endorsement or assignment;\n\nand\n\n(B) is delivered under an agreement between persons in the\n\nbusiness of dealing with such securities or financial\n\nassets; and\n\n(2) the agreement calls for delivery against payment.\n\n(d) The security interest described in subsection (c) of this\n\nsection secures the obligation to make payment for the delivery.","path":["OK Code","Title 12A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"6f39a904551405c1547bb01eef8d9e769dbbad69b161fea6f2fcfd186f7c7e0a","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-205","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-207"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
