Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-1-9-209","heading":"Duties of secured party if account debtor has been","body":"notified of assignment.\n\nDUTIES OF SECURED PARTY IF ACCOUNT\n\nDEBTOR HAS BEEN NOTIFIED OF ASSIGNMENT\n\n(a) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (c) of this\n\nsection, this section applies if:\n\n(1) there is no outstanding secured obligation; and\n\n(2) the secured party is not committed to make advances, incur\n\nobligations, or otherwise give value.\n\n(b) Within ten (10) days after receiving a signed demand by the\n\ndebtor, a secured party shall send to an account debtor that has\n\nreceived notification under subsection (a) of Section 1-9-406 of\n\nthis title or subsection (b) of Section 12-106 of this title of an\n\nassignment to the secured party as assignee a signed record that\n\nreleases the account debtor from any further obligation to the\n\nsecured party.\n\n(c) This section does not apply to an assignment constituting\n\nthe sale of an account, chattel paper, or payment intangible.","path":["OK Code","Title 12A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"d41f19b4d59ee37ae3eb0cf51b3164926b0aee84fe52560f07af529098100dab","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-208","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-210"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
