Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-1-9-303","heading":"Law governing perfection and priority of security","body":"interests in goods covered by a certificate of title.\n\nLAW GOVERNING PERFECTION AND PRIORITY OF SECURITY\n\nINTERESTS IN GOODS COVERED BY A CERTIFICATE OF TITLE\n\n(a) This section applies to goods covered by a certificate of\n\ntitle, even if there is no other relationship between the\n\njurisdiction under whose certificate of title the goods are covered\n\nand the goods or the debtor.\n\n(b) Goods become covered by a certificate of title when a valid\n\napplication for the certificate of title and the applicable fee are\n\ndelivered to the appropriate authority. Goods cease to be covered\n\nby a certificate of title at the earlier of the time the certificate\n\nof title ceases to be effective under the law of the issuing\n\njurisdiction or the time the goods become covered subsequently by a\n\ncertificate of title issued by another jurisdiction.\n\n(c) The local law of the jurisdiction under whose certificate\n\nof title the goods are covered governs perfection, the effect of\n\nperfection or nonperfection, and the priority of a security interest\n\nin goods covered by a certificate of title from the time the goods\n\nbecome covered by the certificate of title until the goods cease to\n\nbe covered by the certificate of title.","path":["OK Code","Title 12A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"d5de3cee9f457e3d03707e0f7e802f4205e36cd3f6a1638746e0da40178e5651","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-302","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-304"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
