Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-1-9-308","heading":"When security interest or agricultural lien is","body":"perfected; continuity of perfection.\n\nWHEN SECURITY INTEREST OR AGRICULTURAL\n\nLIEN IS PERFECTED; CONTINUITY OF PERFECTION\n\n(a) Except as otherwise provided in this section and Section 1-\n\n9-309 of this title, a security interest is perfected if it has\n\nattached and all of the applicable requirements for perfection in\n\nSections 1-9-310 through 1-9-316 of this title have been satisfied.\n\nA security interest is perfected when it attaches if the applicable\n\nrequirements are satisfied before the security interest attaches.\n\n(b) An agricultural lien is perfected if it has become\n\neffective and all of the applicable requirements for perfection in\n\nSection 1-9-310 of this title have been satisfied. An agricultural\n\nlien is perfected when it becomes effective if the applicable\n\nrequirements are satisfied before the agricultural lien becomes\n\neffective.\n\n(c) A security interest or agricultural lien is perfected\n\ncontinuously if it is originally perfected by one method under this\n\narticle and is later perfected by another method under this article,\n\nwithout an intermediate period when it was unperfected.\n\n(d) Perfection of a security interest in collateral also\n\nperfects a security interest in a supporting obligation for the\n\ncollateral.\n\n(e) Perfection of a security interest in a right to payment or\n\nperformance also perfects a security interest in a security\n\ninterest, mortgage, or other lien on personal or real property\n\nsecuring the right.\n\n(f) Perfection of a security interest in a securities account\n\nalso perfects a security interest in the security entitlements\n\ncarried in the securities account.\n\n(g) Perfection of a security interest in a commodity account\n\nalso perfects a security interest in the commodity contracts carried\n\nin the commodity account.","path":["OK Code","Title 12A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"57098ac46ae8601a0af01cd46ca3d405175bbe567a55075851e28e0d8b238d43","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-307","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-309"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
