Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-1-9-309","heading":"Security interest perfected upon attachment","body":"SECURITY INTEREST PERFECTED UPON ATTACHMENT\n\nThe following security interests are perfected when they attach:\n\n(1) a purchase-money security interest in consumer goods,\n\nexcept as otherwise provided in subsection (b) of Section 1-9-311 of\n\nthis title with respect to consumer goods that are subject to a\n\nstatute or treaty described in subsection (a) of Section 1-9-311 of\n\nthis title;\n\n(2) an assignment of accounts or payment intangibles which does\n\nnot by itself or in conjunction with other assignments to the same\n\nassignee transfer a significant part of the assignor’s outstanding\n\naccounts or payment intangibles;\n\n(3) a sale of a payment intangible;\n\n(4) a sale of a promissory note;\n\n(5) a security interest created by the assignment of a health-\n\ncare-insurance receivable to the provider of the health-care goods\n\nor services;\n\n(6) a security interest arising under Section 2-401, 2-505,\n\nparagraph (3) of Section 2-711, or paragraph (5) of Section 2A-508\n\nof this title, until the debtor obtains possession of the\n\ncollateral;\n\n(7) a security interest of a collecting bank arising under\n\nSection 4-210 of this title;\n\n(8) a security interest of an issuer or nominated person\n\narising under Section 5-118 of this title;\n\n(9) a security interest arising in the delivery of a financial\n\nasset under subsection (c) of Section 1-9-206 of this title;\n\n(10) a security interest in investment property created by a\n\nbroker or securities intermediary;\n\n(11) a security interest in a commodity contract or a commodity\n\naccount created by a commodity intermediary;\n\n(12) an assignment for the benefit of all creditors of the\n\ntransferor and subsequent transfers by the assignee thereunder;\n\n(13) a security interest created by an assignment of a\n\nbeneficial interest in a decedent’s estate; and\n\n(14) a sale by an individual of an account that is a right to\n\npayment of winnings in a lottery or other game of chance.","path":["OK Code","Title 12A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"fc7e10d2ae379b91cd6202db551cfc2c2b89f26e8b2e160000a5e38d28df5ef0","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-308","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-310"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
