Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-1-9-310","heading":"When filing required to perfect security interest or","body":"agricultural lien - Security interests and agricultural liens to\n\nwhich filing provisions do not apply.\n\nWHEN FILING REQUIRED TO PERFECT SECURITY INTEREST OR\n\nAGRICULTURAL LIEN; SECURITY INTERESTS AND AGRICULTURAL\n\nLIENS TO WHICH FILING PROVISIONS DO NOT APPLY\n\n(a) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (b) of this\n\nsection and Section 1-9-312 of this title, a financing statement\n\nmust be filed to perfect all security interests and agricultural\n\nliens.\n\n(b) The filing of a financing statement is not necessary to\n\nperfect a security interest:\n\n(1) that is perfected under subsection (d), (e), (f), or (g) of\n\nSection 1-9-308 of this title;\n\n(2) that is perfected under Section 1-9-309 of this title when\n\nit attaches;\n\n(3) in property subject to a statute, regulation, or treaty\n\ndescribed in subsection (a) of Section 1-9-311 of this title;\n\n(4) in goods in possession of a bailee which is perfected under\n\nparagraph (1) or (2) of subsection (d) of Section 1-9-312 of this\n\ntitle;\n\n(5) in certificated securities, documents, goods, or\n\ninstruments which is perfected without filing, control, or\n\npossession under subsection (e), (f), or (g) of Section 1-9-312 of\n\nthis title;\n\n(6) in collateral in the secured party's possession under\n\nSection 1-9-313 of this title;\n\n(7) in a certificated security which is perfected by delivery\n\nof the security certificate to the secured party under Section 1-9-\n\n313 of this title;\n\n(8) in controllable accounts, controllable electronic records,\n\ncontrollable payment intangibles, deposit accounts, electronic\n\ndocuments, investment property, or letter-of-credit rights which is\n\nperfected by control under Section 1-9-314 of this title;\n\n(9) in chattel paper which is perfected by possession and\n\ncontrol under Section 1-9-314A of this title;\n\n(10) in proceeds which is perfected under Section 1-9-315 of\n\nthis title; or\n\n(11) that is perfected under Section 1-9-316 of this title.\n\n(c) If a secured party assigns a perfected security interest or\n\nagricultural lien, a filing under this article is not required to\n\ncontinue the perfected status of the security interest against\n\ncreditors of and transferees from the original debtor.","path":["OK Code","Title 12A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"0c149eb38a4f66b47ed6dcbf272cbfde774feebfee9d7de77ed9ab9cb048b3c0","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-309","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-311"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
