Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-1-9-321","heading":"Licensee of general intangible and lessee of goods in","body":"ordinary course of business.\n\nLICENSEE OF GENERAL INTANGIBLE AND LESSEE\n\nOF GOODS IN ORDINARY COURSE OF BUSINESS\n\n(a) In this section, “licensee in ordinary course of business”\n\nmeans a person that becomes a licensee of a general intangible in\n\ngood faith, without knowledge that the license violates the rights\n\nof another person in the general intangible, and in the ordinary\n\ncourse from a person in the business of licensing general\n\nintangibles of that kind. A person becomes a licensee in the\n\nordinary course if the license to the person comports with the usual\n\nor customary practices in the kind of business in which the licensor\n\nis engaged or with the licensor’s own usual or customary practices.\n\n(b) A licensee in ordinary course of business takes its rights\n\nunder a nonexclusive license free of a security interest in the\n\ngeneral intangible created by the licensor, even if the security\n\ninterest is perfected and the licensee knows of its existence.\n\n(c) A lessee in ordinary course of business takes its leasehold\n\ninterest free of a security interest in the goods created by the\n\nlessor, even if the security interest is perfected and the lessee\n\nknows of its existence.","path":["OK Code","Title 12A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"9f616183aa3180dd36968c56b0c21b10c096fb67f0a7fc245bbeec61a7638ad1","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-320.7","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-322"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
