Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-1-9-331","heading":"Priority of rights of purchasers of controllable","body":"accounts, controllable electronic records, controllable payment\n\nintangibles, documents, instruments, and securities under other\n\narticles; priority of interests in financial assets and security\n\nentitlements and protection against assertion of claims under\n\nArticles 8 and 12.\n\nPRIORITY OF RIGHTS OF PURCHASERS OF CONTROLLABLE ACCOUNTS,\n\nCONTROLLABLE ELECTRONIC RECORDS, CONTROLLABLE PAYMENT INTANGIBLES,\n\nDOCUMENTS, INSTRUMENTS, AND SECURITIES UNDER OTHER ARTICLES;\n\nPRIORITY OF INTERESTS IN FINANCIAL ASSETS AND SECURITY ENTITLEMENTS\n\nAND PROTECTION AGAINST ASSERTION OF CLAIM UNDER ARTICLES 8 AND 12\n\n(a) This article does not limit the rights of a holder in due\n\ncourse of a negotiable instrument, a holder to which a negotiable\n\ndocument of title has been duly negotiated, a protected purchaser of\n\na security, or a qualifying purchaser of a controllable account,\n\ncontrollable electronic record, or controllable payment intangible.\n\nThese holders or purchasers take priority over an earlier security\n\ninterest, even if perfected, to the extent provided in Articles 3,\n\n7, 8, and 12 of this title.\n\n(b) This article does not limit the rights of or impose\n\nliability on a person to the extent that the person is protected\n\nagainst the assertion of a claim under Article 8 or 12 of this\n\ntitle.\n\n(c) Filing under this article does not constitute notice of a\n\nclaim or defense to the holders, or purchasers, or persons described\n\nin subsections (a) and (b) of this section.","path":["OK Code","Title 12A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"0dfac004e3a84a9c70b5c4ea8a5c3ec8f5946e406d8a19b772eb13d22114b0ed","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-330","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-332"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
