Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-1-9-333","heading":"Priority of certain liens arising by operation of","body":"law.\n\nPRIORITY OF CERTAIN LIENS ARISING BY OPERATION OF LAW\n\n(a) In this section, “possessory lien” means an interest, other\n\nthan a security interest or an agricultural lien:\n\n(1) which secures payment or performance of an obligation for\n\nservices or materials furnished with respect to goods by a person in\n\nthe ordinary course of the person’s business;\n\n(2) which is created by statute or rule of law in favor of the\n\nperson; and\n\n(3) whose effectiveness depends on the person’s possession of\n\nthe goods.\n\n(b) A possessory lien on goods has priority over a security\n\ninterest in the goods unless the lien is created by a statute that\n\nexpressly provides otherwise.","path":["OK Code","Title 12A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"845df5af63fdbf9823649639924886281a600f4c9dc69254f52132d502f29faf","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-332","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-334"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
