Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-1-9-338","heading":"Priority of security interest or agricultural lien","body":"perfected by filed financing statement providing certain incorrect\n\ninformation.\n\nPRIORITY OF SECURITY INTEREST OR\n\nAGRICULTURAL LIEN PERFECTED BY FILED FINANCING\n\nSTATEMENT PROVIDING CERTAIN INCORRECT INFORMATION\n\nIf a security interest or agricultural lien is perfected by a\n\nfiled financing statement providing information described in\n\nparagraph (5) of subsection (b) of Section 1-9-516 of this title\n\nwhich is incorrect at the time the financing statement is filed:\n\n(1) the security interest or agricultural lien is subordinate\n\nto a conflicting perfected security interest in the collateral to\n\nthe extent that the holder of the conflicting security interest\n\ngives value in reasonable reliance upon the incorrect information;\n\nand\n\n(2) a purchaser, other than a secured party, of the collateral\n\ntakes free of the security interest or agricultural lien to the\n\nextent that, in reasonable reliance upon the incorrect information,\n\nthe purchaser gives value and, in the case of tangible chattel\n\npaper, tangible documents, goods, instruments, or a security\n\ncertificate, receives delivery of the collateral.","path":["OK Code","Title 12A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"6fc94ea546885f9abba69972ed4ed506afd122d0c4062089affaa116c6ea34ab","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-337","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-339"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
