Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-1-9-501","heading":"Filing office","body":"FILING OFFICE\n\n(a) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (b) of this\n\nsection, if the local law of this state governs perfection of a\n\nsecurity interest or agricultural lien, the office in which to file\n\na financing statement to perfect the security interest or\n\nagricultural lien is:\n\n(1) the office designated for the filing or recording of a\n\nrecord of a mortgage on the related real property, if:\n\n(A) the collateral is as-extracted collateral or timber to\n\nbe cut; or\n\n(B) the financing statement is filed as a fixture filing\n\nand the collateral is goods that are or are to become\n\nfixtures; or\n\n(2) the office of the county clerk of Oklahoma County, in all\n\nother cases, including a case in which the collateral is goods that\n\nare or are to become fixtures and the financing statement is not\n\nfiled as a fixture filing.\n\n(b) The office in which to file a financing statement to\n\nperfect a security interest in collateral, including fixtures, of a\n\ntransmitting utility is the office of the Secretary of State\n\npursuant to Sections 17 and 18 of Title 46 of the Oklahoma Statutes.\n\nThe financing statement also constitutes a fixture filing as to the\n\ncollateral indicated in the financing statement which is or is to\n\nbecome fixtures.","path":["OK Code","Title 12A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"85ed1fcb641693f67c72d3946b3b62c2c7cfea91024bf26530500a10ea1d002c","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-409","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-502"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
