Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-1-9-505","heading":"Filing and compliance with other statutes and","body":"treaties for consignments, leases, other bailments, and other\n\ntransactions.\n\nFILING AND COMPLIANCE WITH OTHER STATUTES AND TREATIES FOR\n\nCONSIGNMENTS, LEASES, OTHER BAILMENTS, AND OTHER TRANSACTIONS\n\n(a) A consignor, lessor, or other bailor of goods, a licensor,\n\nor a buyer of a payment intangible or promissory note may file a\n\nfinancing statement, or may comply with a statute or treaty\n\ndescribed in subsection (a) of Section 1-9-311 of this title, using\n\nthe terms “consignor”, “consignee”, “lessor”, “lessee”, “bailor”,\n\n“bailee”, “licensor”, “licensee”, “owner”, “registered owner”,\n\n“buyer”, “seller”, or words of similar import, instead of the terms\n\n“secured party” and “debtor”.\n\n(b) This part applies to the filing of a financing statement\n\nunder subsection (a) of this section and, as appropriate, to\n\ncompliance that is equivalent to filing a financing statement under\n\nsubsection (b) of Section 1-9-311 of this title, but the filing or\n\ncompliance is not of itself a factor in determining whether the\n\ncollateral secures an obligation.
