Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-1-9-507","heading":"Effect of certain events on effectiveness of","body":"financing statement.\n\nEFFECT OF CERTAIN EVENTS ON\n\nEFFECTIVENESS OF FINANCING STATEMENT\n\n(a) A filed financing statement remains effective with respect\n\nto collateral that is sold, exchanged, leased, licensed, or\n\notherwise disposed of and in which a security interest or\n\nagricultural lien continues, even if the secured party knows of or\n\nconsents to the disposition.\n\n(b) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (c) of this\n\nsection and Section 1-9-508 of this title, a financing statement is\n\nnot rendered ineffective if, after the financing statement is filed,\n\nthe information provided in the financing statement becomes\n\nseriously misleading under Section 1-9-506 of this title.\n\n(c) If the name that a filed financing statement provides for a\n\ndebtor becomes insufficient as the name of the debtor under\n\nsubsection (a) of Section 1-9-503 of this title so that the\n\nfinancing statement becomes seriously misleading under Section 1-9-\n\n506 of this title:\n\n(1) the financing statement is effective to perfect a security\n\ninterest in collateral acquired by the debtor before, or within four\n\n(4) months after, the filed financing statement becomes seriously\n\nmisleading; and\n\n(2) the financing statement is not effective to perfect a\n\nsecurity interest in collateral acquired by the debtor more than\n\nfour (4) months after the filed financing statement becomes\n\nseriously misleading, unless an amendment to the financing statement\n\nwhich renders the financing statement not seriously misleading is\n\nfiled within four (4) months after that event.","path":["OK Code","Title 12A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"e09ada1566f346a9b1c7f6b8287790ea07ea226c168236d3d07223d79c5e25bd","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-506","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-508"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
