Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-1-9-520","heading":"Acceptance and refusal to accept record","body":"ACCEPTANCE AND REFUSAL TO ACCEPT RECORD\n\n(a) A filing office shall refuse to accept a record for filing\n\nfor a reason set forth in subsection (b) of Section 1-9-516 of this\n\ntitle and may refuse to accept a record for filing only for a reason\n\nset forth in subsection (b) of Section 1-9-516 of this title.\n\n(b) If a filing office refuses to accept a record for filing,\n\nit shall communicate to the person that presented the record the\n\nfact of and reason for the refusal and the date and time the record\n\nwould have been filed had the filing office accepted it. The\n\ncommunication must be made at the time and in the manner prescribed\n\nby filing-office rule, but, in the case of a filing office described\n\nin paragraph (2) of subsection (a) of Section 1-9-501 of this title,\n\nin no event more than two (2) business days after the filing office\n\nreceives the record.\n\n(c) A filed financing statement satisfying subsections (a) and\n\n(b) of Section 1-9-502 of this title is effective, even if the\n\nfiling office is required to refuse to accept it for filing under\n\nsubsection (a). However, Section 1-9-338 of this title applies to a\n\nfiled financing statement providing information described in\n\nparagraph (5) of subsection (b) of Section 1-9-516 of this title\n\nwhich is incorrect at the time the financing statement is filed.\n\n(d) If a record communicated to a filing office provides\n\ninformation that relates to more than one debtor, this part applies\n\nto each debtor separately.","path":["OK Code","Title 12A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"cd075d9e5a052468142a894fdb423c0699e9627259526dfa1faa62e496ce96fb","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-519","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-521"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
