Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-1-9-523","heading":"Information from filing office; sale or license of","body":"records.\n\nINFORMATION FROM FILING OFFICE; SALE OR LICENSE OF RECORDS\n\n(a) If a person that files a written record requests an\n\nacknowledgment of the filing, the filing office shall send to the\n\nperson an image of the record showing the number assigned to the\n\nrecord pursuant to paragraph (1) of subsection (a) of Section 1-9-\n\n519 of this title and the date and time of the filing of the record.\n\nHowever, if the person furnishes a copy of the record to the filing\n\noffice, the filing office may instead:\n\n(1) note upon the copy the number assigned to the record\n\npursuant to paragraph (1) of subsection (a) of Section 1-9-519 of\n\nthis title and the date and time of the filing of the record; and\n\n(2) send the copy to the person.\n\n(b) If a person files a record other than a written record, the\n\nfiling office shall communicate to the person an acknowledgment that\n\nprovides:\n\n(1) the information in the record;\n\n(2) the number assigned to the record pursuant to paragraph (1)\n\nof subsection (a) of Section 1-9-519 of this title; and\n\n(3) the date and time of the filing of the record.\n\n(c) The filing office shall communicate or otherwise make\n\navailable in a record the following information to any person that\n\nrequests it:\n\n(1) whether there is on file on a date and time specified by\n\nthe filing office, but not a date earlier than three (3) business\n\ndays before the filing office receives the request, any financing\n\nstatement that:\n\n(A) designates a particular debtor or, if the request so\n\nstates, designates a particular debtor at the address\n\nspecified in the request;\n\n(B) has not lapsed under Section 1-9-515 of this title\n\nwith respect to all secured parties of record; and\n\n(C) if the request so states, has lapsed under Section 1-\n\n9-515 of this title and a record of which is\n\nmaintained by the filing office under subsection (a)\n\nof Section 1-9-522 of this title;\n\n(2) the date and time of filing of each financing statement;\n\nand\n\n(3) the information provided in each financing statement.\n\n(d) In complying with its duty under subsection (c) of this\n\nsection, the filing office may communicate information in any\n\nmedium. However, if requested, the filing office shall communicate\n\ninformation by issuing a record that can be admitted into evidence\n\nin the courts of this state without extrinsic evidence of its\n\nauthenticity.\n\n(e) The filing office shall perform the acts required by\n\nsubsections (a) through (d) of this section at the time and in the\n\nmanner prescribed by filing-office rule, but not later than two (2)\n\nbusiness days after the filing office receives the request.\n\n(f) At least weekly, the filing office shall offer to sell or\n\nlicense to the public on a nonexclusive basis, in bulk, copies of\n\nall records filed in it under this part, in every medium from time\n\nto time available to the filing office.","path":["OK Code","Title 12A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"5071f437eabe8a045fade0316fcacc790e760349cca0ea457cdc6306ff147710","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-522","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-524"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
