Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-1-9-617","heading":"Rights of transferee of collateral","body":"RIGHTS OF TRANSFEREE OF COLLATERAL\n\n(a) A secured party’s disposition of collateral after default:\n\n(1) transfers to a transferee for value all of the debtor’s\n\nrights in the collateral;\n\n(2) discharges the security interest under which the\n\ndisposition is made; and\n\n(3) discharges any subordinate security interest or other\n\nsubordinate lien.\n\n(b) A transferee that acts in good faith takes free of the\n\nrights and interests described in subsection (a) of this section,\n\neven if the secured party fails to comply with this article or the\n\nrequirements of any judicial proceeding.\n\n(c) If a transferee does not take free of the rights and\n\ninterests described in subsection (a) of this section, the\n\ntransferee takes the collateral subject to:\n\n(1) the debtor’s rights in the collateral;\n\n(2) the security interest or agricultural lien under which the\n\ndisposition is made; and\n\n(3) any other security interest or other lien.","path":["OK Code","Title 12A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"e7385bd327638576af910bac8a17f64376543552b64c8eafda5afb521d2a2942","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-616","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-618"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
