Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-1-9-618","heading":"Rights and duties of certain secondary obligors","body":"RIGHTS AND DUTIES OF CERTAIN SECONDARY OBLIGORS\n\n(a) A secondary obligor acquires the rights and becomes\n\nobligated to perform the duties of the secured party after the\n\nsecondary obligor:\n\n(1) receives an assignment of a secured obligation from the\n\nsecured party;\n\n(2) receives a transfer of collateral from the secured party\n\nand agrees to accept the rights and assume the duties of the secured\n\nparty; or\n\n(3) is subrogated to the rights of a secured party with respect\n\nto collateral.\n\n(b) An assignment, transfer, or subrogation described in\n\nsubsection (a) of this section:\n\n(1) is not a disposition of collateral under Section 1-9-610 of\n\nthis title; and\n\n(2) relieves the secured party of further duties under this\n\narticle.","path":["OK Code","Title 12A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"bd39a66948c1fc38129ffafee2958b2d0b0702eacbe6e5a368d8e6906f0fb7fb","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-617","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-619"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
