Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-1-9-619","heading":"Transfer of record or legal title","body":"TRANSFER OF RECORD OR LEGAL TITLE\n\n(a) In this section, \"transfer statement\" means a record signed\n\nby a secured party stating:\n\n(1) that the debtor has defaulted in connection with an\n\nobligation secured by specified collateral;\n\n(2) that the secured party has exercised its post-default\n\nremedies with respect to the collateral;\n\n(3) that, by reason of the exercise, a transferee has acquired\n\nthe rights of the debtor in the collateral; and\n\n(4) the name and mailing address of the secured party, debtor,\n\nand transferee.\n\n(b) A transfer statement entitles the transferee to the\n\ntransfer of record of all rights of the debtor in the collateral\n\nspecified in the statement in any official filing, recording,\n\nregistration, or certificate-of-title system covering the\n\ncollateral. If a transfer statement is presented with the\n\napplicable fee and request form to the official or office\n\nresponsible for maintaining the system, the official or office\n\nshall:\n\n(1) accept the transfer statement;\n\n(2) promptly amend its records to reflect the transfer; and\n\n(3) if applicable, issue a new appropriate certificate of title\n\nin the name of the transferee.\n\n(c) A transfer of the record or legal title to collateral to a\n\nsecured party under subsection (b) of this section or otherwise is\n\nnot of itself a disposition of collateral under this article and\n\ndoes not of itself relieve the secured party of its duties under\n\nthis article.","path":["OK Code","Title 12A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"b5d29b44fed905e26595f3a0315ab4f7719a70c042bc63014c7173074475fab3","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-618","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-620"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
