Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-1-9-702","heading":"Savings clause","body":"SAVINGS CLAUSE\n\n(a) Except as otherwise provided in this part, this act applies\n\nto a transaction or lien within its scope, even if the transaction\n\nor lien was entered into or created before this act takes effect.\n\n(b) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (c) of this\n\nsection and Sections 1-9-703 through 1-9-709 of this title:\n\n(1) transactions and liens that were not governed by former\n\nArticle 9 of this title, were validly entered into or created before\n\nthis act takes effect, and would be subject to this act if they had\n\nbeen entered into or created after this act takes effect, and the\n\nrights, duties, and interests flowing from those transactions and\n\nliens remain valid after this act takes effect; and\n\n(2) the transactions and liens may be terminated, completed,\n\nconsummated, and enforced as required or permitted by this act or by\n\nthe law that otherwise would apply if this act had not taken effect.\n\n(c) This act does not affect an action, case, or proceeding\n\ncommenced before this act takes effect.","path":["OK Code","Title 12A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"3ee52eea5aa3706440dac2ded5b48b61b18c3c90a9fab558207ded98b6cd7872","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-628","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-703"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
