Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-1-9-703","heading":"Security interest perfected before effective date","body":"SECURITY INTEREST PERFECTED BEFORE EFFECTIVE DATE\n\n(a) A security interest that is enforceable immediately before\n\nthis act takes effect and would have priority over the rights of a\n\nperson that becomes a lien creditor at that time is a perfected\n\nsecurity interest under this act if, when this act takes effect, the\n\napplicable requirements for enforceability and perfection under this\n\nact are satisfied without further action.\n\n(b) Except as otherwise provided in Section 1-9-705 of this\n\ntitle, if, immediately before this act takes effect, a security\n\ninterest is enforceable and would have priority over the rights of a\n\nperson that becomes a lien creditor at that time, but the applicable\n\nrequirements for enforceability or perfection under this act are not\n\nsatisfied when this act takes effect, the security interest:\n\n(1) is a perfected security interest for one (1) year after\n\nthis act takes effect;\n\n(2) remains enforceable thereafter only if the security\n\ninterest becomes enforceable under Section 1-9-203 of this title\n\nbefore the year expires; and\n\n(3) remains perfected thereafter only if the applicable\n\nrequirements for perfection under this act are satisfied before the\n\nyear expires.","path":["OK Code","Title 12A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"57f33a9e88c114844ce87bcf6f3920d4546c1ca4e77975e6ff9ec9a0640744e0","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-702","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-704"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
