Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-1-9-807","heading":"Amendment of pre-effective-date financing statement","body":"AMENDMENT OF PRE-EFFECTIVE-DATE FINANCING STATEMENT\n\n(a) In this section, \"pre-effective-date financing statement\"\n\nmeans a financing statement filed before this act takes effect.\n\n(b) After this act takes effect on November 1, 2015, a person\n\nmay add or delete collateral covered by, continue or terminate the\n\neffectiveness of, or otherwise amend the information provided in, a\n\npre-effective-date financing statement only in accordance with the\n\nlaw of the jurisdiction governing perfection as provided in Article\n\n9 of the Uniform Commercial Code as amended by this act. However,\n\nthe effectiveness of a pre-effective-date financing statement also\n\nmay be terminated in accordance with the law of the jurisdiction in\n\nwhich the financing statement is filed.\n\n(c) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (d) of this\n\nsection, if the law of this state governs perfection of a security\n\ninterest, the information in a pre-effective-date financing\n\nstatement may be amended after this act takes effect only if:\n\n(1) the pre-effective-date financing statement and an amendment\n\nare filed in the office specified in Section 1-9-501 of Title 12A of\n\nthe Oklahoma Statutes;\n\n(2) an amendment is filed in the office specified in Section 1-\n\n9-501 of Title 12A of the Oklahoma Statutes concurrently with, or\n\nafter the filing in that office of, an initial financing statement\n\nthat satisfies subsection (c) of Section 22 of this act; or\n\n(3) an initial financing statement that provides the\n\ninformation as amended and satisfies subsection (c) of Section 22 of\n\nthis act is filed in the office specified in Section 1-9-501 of\n\nTitle 12A of the Oklahoma Statutes.\n\n(d) If the law of this state governs perfection of a security\n\ninterest, the effectiveness of a pre-effective-date financing\n\nstatement may be continued only under subsection (c) of Section 21\n\nof this act or subsection (c) of Section 22 of this act or this\n\nsection.\n\n(e) Whether or not the law of this state governs perfection of\n\na security interest, the effectiveness of a pre-effective-date\n\nfinancing statement filed in this state may be terminated after this\n\nact takes effect by filing a termination statement in the office in\n\nwhich the pre-effective-date financing statement is filed, unless an\n\ninitial financing statement that satisfies subsection (c) of Section\n\n23 of this act has been filed in the office specified by the law of\n\nthe jurisdiction governing perfection as provided in Article 9 of\n\nthe Uniform Commercial Code as amended by this act as the office in\n\nwhich to file a financing statement.","path":["OK Code","Title 12A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"92e27bea93925f3e37977a4e081fa9ab555988f0297042a3878d668d89273e62","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-806","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-1-9-808"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
