Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-2-102","heading":"Scope; Certain Security and Other Transactions Excluded","body":"from this Article.\n\nScope; Certain Security and Other Transactions Excluded from\n\nthis Article.\n\n(a) Unless the context otherwise requires, and except as\n\nprovided in subsection (c) of this section, this article applies to\n\ntransactions in goods and, in the case of a hybrid transaction, it\n\napplies to the extent provided in subsection (b) of this section.\n\n(b) In a hybrid transaction:\n\n(1) If the sale-of-goods aspects do not predominate, only the\n\nprovisions of this article which relate primarily to the sale-of-\n\ngoods aspects of the transaction apply, and the provisions that\n\nrelate primarily to the transaction as a whole do not apply.\n\n(2) If the sale-of-goods aspects predominate, this article\n\napplies to the transaction but does not preclude application, in\n\nappropriate circumstances, of other law to aspects of the\n\ntransaction which do not relate to the sale of goods.\n\n(c) This article does not:\n\n(1) Apply to a transaction that, even though in the form of an\n\nunconditional contract to sell or present sale, operates only to\n\ncreate a security interest; or\n\n(2) Impair or repeal a statute regulating sales to consumers,\n\nfarmers, or other specified classes of buyers.","path":["OK Code","Title 12A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"0442c734affad0962029b4223790ee037bbbb62d3745c9d75d446a61b5741f60","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-2-101","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-2-103"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
