Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-2-403","heading":"Power to Transfer; Good Faith Purchase of Goods;","body":"\"Entrusting\".\n\nPower to Transfer; Good Faith Purchase of Goods; \"Entrusting\".\n\n(1) A purchaser of goods acquires all title which his\n\ntransferor had or had power to transfer except that a purchaser of a\n\nlimited interest acquires rights only to the extent of the interest\n\npurchased. A person with voidable title has power to transfer a\n\ngood title to a good faith purchaser for value. When goods have\n\nbeen delivered under a transaction of purchase the purchaser has\n\nsuch power even though\n\n(a) the transferor was deceived as to the identity of the\n\npurchaser, or\n\n(b) the delivery was in exchange for a check which is\n\nlater dishonored, or\n\n(c) it was agreed that the transaction was to be a \"cash\n\nsale\", or\n\n(d) the delivery was procured through fraud punishable as\n\nlarcenous under the criminal law.\n\n(2) Any entrusting of possession of goods to a merchant who\n\ndeals in goods of that kind gives him power to transfer all rights\n\nof the entruster to a buyer in ordinary course of business.\n\n(3) \"Entrusting\" includes any delivery and any acquiescence in\n\nretention of possession regardless of any condition expressed\n\nbetween the parties to the delivery or acquiescence and regardless\n\nof whether the procurement of the entrusting or the possessor's\n\ndisposition of the goods have been such as to be larcenous under the\n\ncriminal law.\n\n(4) The rights of other purchasers of goods and of lien\n\ncreditors are governed by the articles on Secured Transactions\n\n(Article 9) and Documents of Title (Article 7).","path":["OK Code","Title 12A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"fbc2c4644abc44022e4b08fbbc05cc30fe0d69839d53d022f56fe7502a3171fc","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-2-402","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-2-501"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
