Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-2-603","heading":"Merchant Buyer's Duties as to Rightfully Rejected","body":"Goods.\n\n(1) Subject to any security interest in the buyer (subsection\n\n(3) of Section 2-711), when the seller has no agent or place of\n\nbusiness at the market of rejection a merchant buyer is under a duty\n\nafter rejection of goods in his possession or control to follow any\n\nreasonable instructions received from the seller with respect to the\n\ngoods and in the absence of such instructions to make reasonable\n\nefforts to sell them for the seller's account if they are perishable\n\nor threaten to decline in value speedily. Instructions are not\n\nreasonable if on demand indemnity for expenses is not forthcoming.\n\n(2) When the buyer sells goods under subsection (1), he is\n\nentitled to reimbursement from the seller or out of the proceeds for\n\nreasonable expenses of caring for and selling them, and if the\n\nexpenses include no selling commission then to such commission as is\n\nusual in the trade or if there is none to a reasonable sum not\n\nexceeding ten percent (10%) on the gross proceeds.\n\n(3) In complying with this section the buyer is held only to\n\ngood faith and good faith conduct hereunder is neither acceptance\n\nnor conversion nor the basis of an action for damages.","path":["OK Code","Title 12A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"062efff45131968c26bcea8255f57959e6842ef6dfad8d587d96c9b6f81d6ae6","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-2-602","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-2-604"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
