Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-2-725","heading":"Statute of Limitations in Contracts for Sale","body":"(1) An action for breach of any contract for sale must be\n\ncommenced within five (5) years after the cause of action has\n\naccrued. By the original agreement the parties may reduce the\n\nperiod of limitation to not less than one (1) year but may not\n\nextend it.\n\n(2) A cause of action accrues when the breach occurs, regardless\n\nof the aggrieved party's lack of knowledge of the breach. A breach\n\nof warranty occurs when tender of delivery is made, except that\n\nwhere a warranty explicitly extends to future performance of the\n\ngoods and discovery of the breach must await the time of such\n\nperformance the cause of action accrues when the breach is or should\n\nhave been discovered.\n\n(3) Where an action commenced within the time limited by\n\nsubsection (1) is so terminated as to leave available a remedy by\n\nanother action for the same breach such other action may be\n\ncommenced after the expiration of the time limited and within one\n\n(1) year after the termination of the first action unless the\n\ntermination resulted from voluntary discontinuance or from dismissal\n\nfor failure or neglect to prosecute.\n\n(4) This section does not alter the law on tolling of the\n\nstatute of limitations nor does it apply to causes of action which\n\nhave accrued before this act becomes effective.","path":["OK Code","Title 12A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"a1a1e085195639a233f51cad2ab5e80475f198f2b78bcd5e5866681858ad2405","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-2-724","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-2a-101"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
