Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-2A-221","heading":"Casualty to identified goods","body":"CASUALTY TO IDENTIFIED GOODS\n\nIf a lease contract requires goods identified when the lease\n\ncontract is made, and the goods suffer casualty without fault of the\n\nlessee, the lessor or the supplier before delivery, or the goods\n\nsuffer casualty before risk of loss passes to the lessee pursuant to\n\nthe lease agreement or Section 29 of this act, then:\n\n(a) if the loss is total, the lease contract is\n\navoided; and\n\n(b) if the loss is partial or the goods have so\n\ndeteriorated as to no longer conform to the lease contract, the\n\nlessee may nevertheless demand inspection and at his option either\n\ntreat the lease contract as avoided or, except in a finance lease\n\nthat is not a consumer lease, accept the goods with due allowance\n\nfrom the rent payable for the balance of the lease term for the\n\ndeterioration or the deficiency in quantity but without further\n\nright against the lessor.","path":["OK Code","Title 12A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"ec771bf25262edd94fd58d53c44b81c2fc927b99da3a9ffcf5b5a95f36148765","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-2a-220","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-2a-301"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
