Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-2A-407","heading":"Irrevocable Promises; Finance Leases","body":"IRREVOCABLE PROMISES; FINANCE LEASES\n\n(1) In the case of a finance lease that is not a consumer lease\n\nthe lessee's promises under the lease contract become irrevocable\n\nand independent upon the lessee's acceptance of the goods.\n\n(2) A promise that has become irrevocable and independent under\n\nsubsection (1) of this section:\n\n(a) is effective and enforceable between the parties, and\n\nby or against third parties including assignees of the\n\nparties, and\n\n(b) is not subject to cancellation, termination,\n\nmodification, repudiation, excuse, or substitution\n\nwithout the consent of the party to whom the promise\n\nruns.\n\n(3) This section does not affect the validity under any other\n\nlaw of a covenant in any lease contract making the lessee's promises\n\nirrevocable and independent upon the lessee's acceptance of the\n\ngoods.","path":["OK Code","Title 12A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"e214df133c403826749f9d28e13786dae611fc9ae45c9ea1a25543a9c327485e","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-2a-406","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-2a-501"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
