Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-2A-501","heading":"Default - Procedure","body":"DEFAULT; PROCEDURE\n\n(1) Whether the lessor or the lessee is in default under a\n\nlease contract is determined by the lease agreement and this\n\narticle.\n\n(2) If the lessor or the lessee is in default under the lease\n\ncontract, the party seeking enforcement has rights and remedies as\n\nprovided in this article and, except as limited by this article, as\n\nprovided in the lease agreement.\n\n(3) If the lessor or the lessee is in default under the lease\n\ncontract, the party seeking enforcement may reduce the party's claim\n\nto judgment, or otherwise enforce the lease contract by self-help or\n\nany available judicial procedure or nonjudicial procedure, including\n\nadministrative proceeding, arbitration, or the like, in accordance\n\nwith this article.\n\n(4) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (a) of Section\n\n18 of this act or this article or the lease agreement, the rights\n\nand remedies referred to in subsections (2) and (3) of this section\n\nare cumulative.\n\n(5) If the lease agreement covers both real property and goods,\n\nthe party seeking enforcement may proceed under this Part as to the\n\ngoods, or under other applicable law as to both the real property\n\nand the goods in accordance with that party's rights and remedies in\n\nrespect of the real property, in which case this Part does not\n\napply.","path":["OK Code","Title 12A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"422658e3f4e91da7a5ab1840723af8f2d434ce260d252aad7ba93e782948bf87","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-2a-407","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-2a-502"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
