Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-3-207","heading":"Reacquisition","body":"REACQUISITION\n\nReacquisition of an instrument occurs if it is transferred to a\n\nformer holder, by negotiation or otherwise. A former holder who\n\nreacquires the instrument may cancel indorsements made after the\n\nreacquirer first became a holder of the instrument. If the\n\ncancellation causes the instrument to be payable to the reacquirer\n\nor to bearer, the reacquirer may negotiate the instrument.
