Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-4-204","heading":"Methods of Sending and Presenting; Sending Directly to","body":"Payor Bank.\n\nMETHODS OF SENDING AND PRESENTING;\n\nSENDING DIRECTLY TO PAYOR BANK\n\n(a) A collecting bank shall send items by a reasonably prompt\n\nmethod, taking into consideration relevant instructions, the nature\n\nof the item, the number of those items on hand, the cost of\n\ncollection involved, and the method generally used by it or others\n\nto present those items.\n\n(b) A collecting bank may send:\n\n(1) An item directly to the payor bank;\n\n(2) An item to a nonbank payor if authorized by its\n\ntransferor; and\n\n(3) An item other than documentary drafts to a nonbank\n\npayor, if authorized by Federal Reserve regulation or\n\noperating circular, clearing-house rule, or the like.\n\n(c) Presentment may be made by a presenting bank at a place\n\nwhere the payor bank or other payor has requested that presentment\n\nbe made.","path":["OK Code","Title 12A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"124ac4b481ef52bfdeecb3932d4b0c4a8d6ca0c8aa3caf1b04b82199468332bf","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-4-203","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-4-205"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
