Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-4-405","heading":"Death or Incompetence of Customer","body":"DEATH OR INCOMPETENCE OF CUSTOMER\n\n(a) A payor or collecting bank's authority to accept, pay, or\n\ncollect an item or to account for proceeds of its collection, if\n\notherwise effective, is not rendered ineffective by incompetence of\n\na customer of either bank existing at the time the item is issued or\n\nits collection is undertaken if the bank does not know of an\n\nadjudication of incompetence.
