Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-4A-103","heading":"Payment order - Definitions","body":"PAYMENT ORDER - DEFINITIONS\n\n(a) In this article:\n\n(1) \"Payment order\" means an instruction of a sender to a\n\nreceiving bank, transmitted orally or in a record, to pay, or to\n\ncause another bank to pay, a fixed or determinable amount of money\n\nto a beneficiary if:\n\n(i) the instruction does not state a condition to payment\n\nto the beneficiary other than time of payment,\n\n(ii) the receiving bank is to be reimbursed by debiting an\n\naccount of, or otherwise receiving payment from, the\n\nsender, and\n\n(iii) the instruction is transmitted by the sender directly\n\nto the receiving bank or to an agent, funds-transfer\n\nsystem, or communication system for transmittal to the\n\nreceiving bank.\n\n(2) \"Beneficiary\" means the person to be paid by the\n\nbeneficiary's bank.\n\n(3) \"Beneficiary's bank\" means the bank identified in a payment\n\norder in which an account of the beneficiary is to be credited\n\npursuant to the order or which otherwise is to make payment to the\n\nbeneficiary if the order does not provide for payment to an account.\n\n(4) \"Receiving bank\" means the bank to which the sender's\n\ninstruction is addressed.\n\n(5) \"Sender\" means the person giving the instruction to the\n\nreceiving bank.\n\n(b) If an instruction complying with paragraph (1) of\n\nsubsection (a) is to make more than one payment to a beneficiary,\n\nthe instruction is a separate payment order with respect to each\n\npayment.\n\n(c) A payment order is issued when it is sent to the receiving\n\nbank.","path":["OK Code","Title 12A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"6250bd32e9505b72d7f988d4dc2133e9d9ed9510964e5967a509ae04779df1b6","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-4a-102","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-4a-104"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
