Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-4A-212","heading":"Liability and duty of receiving bank regarding","body":"unaccepted payment.\n\nLIABILITY AND DUTY OF RECEIVING BANK REGARDING UNACCEPTED\n\nPAYMENT ORDER\n\nIf a receiving bank fails to accept a payment order that it is\n\nobliged by express agreement to accept, the bank is liable for\n\nbreach of the agreement to the extent provided in the agreement or\n\nin this Article, but does not otherwise have any duty to accept a\n\npayment order or, before acceptance, to take any action, or refrain\n\nfrom taking action, with respect to the order except as provided in\n\nthis Article or by express agreement. Liability based on acceptance\n\narises only when acceptance occurs as stated in Section 17 of this\n\nact, and liability is limited to that provided in this Article.
