Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-7-105.1","heading":"Reissuance in alternative medium","body":"Reissuance in Alternative Medium.\n\n(a) Upon request of a person entitled under an electronic\n\ndocument of title, the issuer of the electronic document may issue a\n\ntangible document of title as a substitute for the electronic\n\ndocument if:\n\n(1) the person entitled under the electronic document\n\nsurrenders control of the document to the issuer; and\n\n(2) the tangible document when issued contains a statement that\n\nit is issued in substitution for the electronic document.\n\n(b) Upon issuance of a tangible document of title in\n\nsubstitution for an electronic document of title in accordance with\n\nsubsection (a) of this section:\n\n(1) the electronic document ceases to have any effect or\n\nvalidity; and\n\n(2) the person that procured issuance of the tangible document\n\nwarrants to all subsequent persons entitled under the tangible\n\ndocument that the warrantor was a person entitled under the\n\nelectronic document when the warrantor surrendered control of the\n\nelectronic document to the issuer.\n\n(c) Upon request of a person entitled under a tangible document\n\nof title, the issuer of the tangible document may issue an\n\nelectronic document of title as a substitute for the tangible\n\ndocument if:\n\n(1) the person entitled under the tangible document surrenders\n\npossession of the document to the issuer; and\n\n(2) the electronic document when issued contains a statement\n\nthat it is issued in substitution for the tangible document.\n\n(d) Upon issuance of an electronic document of title in\n\nsubstitution for a tangible document of title in accordance with\n\nsubsection (c) of this section:\n\n(1) the tangible document ceases to have any effect or\n\nvalidity; and\n\n(2) the person that procured issuance of the electronic\n\ndocument warrants to all subsequent persons entitled under the\n\nelectronic document that the warrantor was a person entitled under\n\nthe tangible document when the warrantor surrendered possession of\n\nthe tangible document to the issuer.","path":["OK Code","Title 12A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"8dcc79f4c948be1479e2ad755cc859712e7be5600c1fa17b3a077672357de0fe","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-7-104","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-7-106"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
