Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-8-104","heading":"Acquisition of Security on Financial Asset or Interest","body":"Therein.\n\nAcquisition of Security on Financial Asset or Interest Therein.\n\n(a) A person acquires a security or an interest therein, under\n\nthis article, if:\n\n(1) the person is a purchaser to whom a security is\n\ndelivered pursuant to Section 8-301 of this title; or\n\n(2) the person acquires a security entitlement to the\n\nsecurity pursuant to Section 8-501 of this title.\n\n(b) A person acquires a financial asset, other than a security,\n\nor an interest therein, under this article, if the person acquires a\n\nsecurity entitlement to the financial asset.\n\n(c) A person who acquires a security entitlement to a security\n\nor other financial asset has the rights specified in Part 5 of this\n\ncode, but is a purchaser of any security, security entitlement, or\n\nother financial asset held by the securities intermediary only to\n\nthe extent provided in Section 8-503 of this title.\n\n(d) Unless the context shows that a different meaning is\n\nintended, a person who is required by other law, regulation, rule,\n\nor agreement to transfer, deliver, present, surrender, exchange, or\n\notherwise put in the possession of another person a security or\n\nfinancial asset satisfied that requirement by causing the other\n\nperson to acquire an interest in the security or financial asset\n\npursuant to subsection (a) or (b) of this section.","path":["OK Code","Title 12A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"5da01c0f274c2646c1c9be9e324af768a9d026fcd95065741654dae01aad8810","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-8-103","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-8-105"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
