Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-8-112","heading":"Creditor's Legal Process","body":"Creditor's Legal Process.\n\n(a) The interest of a debtor in a certificated security may be\n\nreached by a creditor only by actual seizure of the security\n\ncertificate by the officer making the attachment or levy, except as\n\notherwise provided in subsection (d) of this section. However, a\n\ncertificated security for which the certificate has been surrendered\n\nto the issuer may be reached by a creditor by legal process upon the\n\nissuer.\n\n(b) The interest of a debtor in an uncertificated security may\n\nbe reached by a creditor only by legal process upon the issuer at\n\nits chief executive office in the United States, except as otherwise\n\nprovided in subsection (d) of this section.\n\n(c) The interest of a debtor in a security entitlement may be\n\nreached by a creditor only by legal process upon the securities\n\nintermediary with whom the debtor's securities account is\n\nmaintained, except as otherwise provided in subsection (d) of this\n\nsection.\n\n(d) The interest of a debtor in a certificated security for\n\nwhich the certificate is in the possession of a secured party, or in\n\nan uncertificated security registered in the name of a secured\n\nparty, or a security entitlement maintained in the name of a secured\n\nparty, may be reached by a creditor by legal process upon the\n\nsecured party.\n\n(e) A creditor whose debtor is the owner of a certificated\n\nsecurity, uncertificated security, or security entitlement is\n\nentitled to aid from a court of competent jurisdiction, by\n\ninjunction or otherwise, in reaching the certificated security,\n\nuncertificated security, or security entitlement or in satisfying\n\nthe claim by means allowed at law or in equity in regard to property\n\nthat cannot readily be reached by other legal process.","path":["OK Code","Title 12A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"cfa791871427d34b2a21da89ead220ae5caeb13fff081336b0dbbd4ba98f591b","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-8-111","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-8-113"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
