Stat. tit. 12A, § 12A-8-511","heading":"Priority Among Security Interests and Entitlement","body":"Holders.\n\nPriority Among Security Interests and Entitlement Holders.\n\n(a) Except as otherwise provided in subsections (b) and (c) of\n\nthis section, if a securities intermediary does not have sufficient\n\ninterests in a particular financial asset to satisfy both its\n\nobligations to entitlement holders who have security entitlements to\n\nthat financial asset and its obligation to a creditor of the\n\nsecurities intermediary who has a security interest in that\n\nfinancial asset, the claims of entitlement holders, other than the\n\ncreditor, have priority over the claim of the creditor.\n\n(b) A claim of a creditor of a securities intermediary who has\n\na security interest in a financial asset held by a securities\n\nintermediary has priority over claims of the securities\n\nintermediary's entitlement holders who have security entitlements\n\nwith respect to that financial asset if the creditor has control\n\nover the financial asset.\n\n(c) If a clearing corporation does not have sufficient\n\nfinancial assets to satisfy both its obligations to entitlement\n\nholders who have security entitlements with respect to a financial\n\nasset and its obligation to a creditor of the clearing corporation\n\nwho has a security interest in that financial asset, the claim of\n\nthe creditor has priority over the claims of entitlement holders.","path":["OK Code","Title 12A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os12A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"92102321d2aa7394c0cff6cc4c376f883b44de4c62c20e5facba93889af762bf","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-8-510","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-12a-12a-8-603"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
