Stat. tit. 14A, § 14A-1-202","heading":"Exclusions","body":"This act does not apply to\n\n(1) Extensions of credit to government or governmental agencies\n\nor instrumentalities;\n\n(2) The sale of insurance by an insurer, except as otherwise\n\nprovided in the article on insurance (Article 4);\n\n(3) Transactions under public utility or common carrier tariffs\n\nif a subdivision or agency of this state or of the United States\n\nregulates the charges for the services involved, the charges for\n\ndelayed payment and any discount allowed for early payment;\n\n(4) Pawnbrokers engaging in pawn transactions as defined in the\n\nOklahoma Pawnshop Act; or\n\n(5) Loans made to enable the debtor to build or purchase a\n\nresidence or to refinance such loan when made by a lender whose\n\nloans are supervised by an agency of the United States or made by a\n\nFederal Housing Administration approved mortgagee unless the loan is\n\nmade subject to this act by agreement (Section 3-601), and except as\n\nprovided with respect to disclosure (Section 3-301), debtors'\n\nremedies (Section 5-201) and loan finance charges for other loans\n\n(Section 3-605).","path":["OK Code","Title 14A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os14A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"31885fcaff8672fe340a7e497b633c869d3a9de818c8bdcd803e921df69da149","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-14a-14a-1-201a","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-14a-14a-1-301"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
